Thank you very much for taking a moment to get to know a little more about the Christiana Volunteer Fire Department.  Our close team of dedicated volunteers constantly trains and is always ready to respond.  Whether eating dinner with family  or fast asleep from a hard days work, these highly skilled and driven professionals will give of their time without question and without the expectation of even a thank you.  These everyday heroes serve the community they love for one reason: they care about their neighbors and want to help any way they can.  Take a good look around the site because there is lots of great information about our community, what we do, and who we are. As always, we welcome any feedback you may have. Enjoy!

Our Mission:

To help protect the lives and property of our community through care,

understanding, and continuous improvement in fire service technologies.

A word about volunteer firefighters

There seems to be a general misconception about what it means to be a volunteer firefighter. Our firefighters have access to the same training and resources as paid departments and volunteer firefighters perform the same duties and put themselves in the same real danger as paid firefighters. To find out what volunteer firefighters are made of stop by our station during a scheduled meeting for more information. You can get the dates and times on the Calendar Page.
